Head, Feedback and Product Development
Akindayo is the Head, Business Development for the company and has responsibility for formulating and driving the implementation of appropriate strategies to grow the Company’s business.
A distinguished health insurance professional of almost two decades, he has over the years acquired competences in managed healthcare, customer relationship management, quality assurance and management, business strategy and planning and product development.
He started his health insurance career in 1998 with Hygeia HMO Ltd, a leading health insurance brand in Nigeria working in the various work-site clinics managed by the HMO. He later rose to the position of Ag.Head of the National Care Call Centre, a unit responsible for managing over 100,000 enrollees, 250 public and private organizations, and 1,000 hospital providers. He joined International Health Management Services Ltd as a Care Coordinator, Provider Development & Management in 2006 where he was responsible for managing a network of over 500 primary and secondary providers nationwide. He would later join Expatcarehealth International Ltd as a Public Sector Coordinator responsible for setting up and managing the company’s Public Sector (NHIS) Unit comprising a clientele of over 50 Parastatals of the Federal Government; 77,000 enrollees and over 500 hospitals. Following his sterling performance, he was re-deployed to set up the New Business & Projects Department as the Head during which he managed the establishment of the company’s call centre and development of new and emerging market opportunities.
In 2014, he joined MH Healthcare HMO as GM/COO and later Investcorp Medicare (now Wellness HMO) as the Chief Business Development Officer and later GM/COO where he led a team of dedicated professionals to turn around the fortunes of company. Under his able leadership, the company recorded over 300% growth in turnover and over 100% in clientele and subscribers base.
Akindayo holds a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, and is a member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations and Institute of Cost Managers of Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School where he completed the Leadership Programme in Sales & Marketing. He was a panelist at the 2011 West Africa Healthcare Investment Summit, Abuja and is also a meritorious-level USAID Certified trainer in Fostering Change in Health Services.
He has also acquired cutting-edge skills in retail marketing management having attended various retail management courses at the College of Insurance and Financial Management some of which are Management of Retail Insurance Business for Profitability and Growth and Providing Insurance Responsibly.
